According to Archdiocese of Mobile Director of the Office of Youth Minis- try Adam Ganucheau, more than 600 people from the archdiocese traveled to the nation’s capital for the March for Life through pilgrimages organized by the Office of Youth and Young Adult Minis- try and McGill-Toolen, St. Michael and Montgomery Catholic high schools. They joined an estimated 100,000 people at this year’s March. Hundreds also took part in the second annual March for Life in downtown Mo- bile. Both marches had two similar traits – they continue to grow and they’re high- lighted by a young generation. “It shows the Holy Spirit is working powerfully in the Archdiocese of Mobile and throughout the United States,” said ArchbishopThomas J. Rodi, who attended the March for Life in Washington. He added: “The issue is not going to go away. To see all these young people today wit- nessing for life makes it very clear – the new generation isn’t buying the lie of abor- tion.” The Archdiocese of Mobile’s contingent is proof the issue isn’t going away. More than 500 pilgrims from the archdiocese took part in last year’s trip.
