Thisweek's featured school: Little Flower Catholic School, Mobile. LEFT: Reading at Little Flower Catholic School is not just about words on the page. Sharing good stories and enjoying books together is part of everyday life at Little Flower. Not only do reading skills grow, but self-disci- pline and sharing ideas become part of the process. BELOW: The students at Little Flower Catholic School showed their usual generosity during their Thanksgiving Food Drive. Everything from beans to cornbread dress- ing to cranberry sauce and more was brought in to fill the Thanksgiving baskets that helped families in need. This typical expression of assistance for those in need is a hallmark of Little Flower students and their families. FAR LEFT: Students presented handmade cards to Pastor Fr. John Lynes, Deacon Ron Martin and Sister Mary Joyce to celebrate their vocations during Catholic Schools Week. Our opportunities for Mass and the sacraments would not be possible without their presence at Little Flower, and we are grateful for their gift of self. ABOVE: Middle school science provides opportunities for hands-on experiments. Here, lining dominoes and allowing them to fall brought potential energy to kinetic energy, with students designing their own experiments in motion. LEFT: Students are engaged in active learning in the com- puter lab, as well as in their classrooms. All Little Flower students get to participate in our technology program once a week with our Master Level teacher. Technology is available for all students at a one-to-one ratio.
