Middle and High school students had fun eating pizza, playing games and sharing their summer stories. The youth minister, Teresa Warner, and Director of Religious Education Dalia Torres have a great year planned for all area teens who wish to belong to a vibrant youth program. ST. Purvis is the co-host of EWTN’s “Morning Glory” radio show and creator of EWTN’s “Authentically Free at Last” TV program as well as editor of the “Afri- can-American Catholic Youth Bible.” Purvis will speak to the Black Catho- lic community about the sanctity of life and other important issues. The evening will begin at 5:15 p.m. with Mass celebrated by Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi, followed by a reception, Purvis’ presentation and a question-and- answer session. Purvis will also be the keynote speak- er at the Archdiocese of Mobile’s “Called to Love” women’s conference at Corpus Christi Parish on Saturday, Oct. 6.
